Rosé Margarita

Rosé wine lends itself to enhance cocktails and this variation on a traditional margarita is the perfect example.

Rosé Margarita

INGREDIENTS

  • ice

  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice

  • 1 fresh lime wedge

  • 3 fresh strawberries, washed/hulled & quartered

  • 1 teaspoon demera sugar

  • 2 ounces Tequila Blanco

  • ½ ounce Triple Sec

  • 1 chilled bottle of Rosé of Pinot Noir, for topping

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Muddle (smudge/gently smash) lime juice, lime wedge, strawberries, and sugar in a the bottom of a cocktail shaker for about 1 minute.

  2. Add ice, then pour in tequila and Triple Sec. Shake vigorously until outside of shaker is well-frosted.

  3. Strain margarita into a chilled glass over ice, and top with chilled wine.

  4. Stir gently to combine, then serve.
